What other CrossFit affiliates are saying about us:

CrossFit Solus

In the fall of 2009, my husband and I contemplated the idea of opening up our own Crossfit box. In order to get more aquainted with the CrossFit community, we decided to take our time and visit several of the already established boxes in our area. To our pleasant surprise, all of the CrossFit affiliates not only welcomed our many questions, but took time out of their busy days to sit down with us and show us there own personal business styles. With all of the information and knowledge that we gathered from our visits, we confidently opened CrossFit Solus in January of 2010. We owe a special thanks to Jerry Hobbs at County Line CrossFit and Dylan Gautreaux of CrossFit FX TX, for showing us special attention and hospitality. Their countless hours of sharing ideas and business skills have got us off to a great start. We are very proud to be a part of the CrossFit community and the wonderful comradely within the affiliate owners.

CrossFit Argyle (Argyle Family Fitness)

My name is Ryan Vitek and I run CrossFit Argyle in conjunction with the owner of Argyle Family Fitness. I am currently a Firefighter / Paramedic with the City of Grapevine Fire Department and have been aspiring to open a CrossFit gym on the side for a while. A couple of months ago I began my journey of starting an affiliate and happened to live a block from Jerry Hobbs who already was running County Line CrossFit. As I started my process of working a gym out of my garage I contacted Jerry to let him know what my intentions were so that he would not be caught off guard when we officially opened. At the time I was nervous about how he would respond to me opening up right down the street but to my surprise he was more than willing to help with anything I needed to get started. I was taken off guard and extremely grateful for his help because at the time I did not have a clue about how to start an affiliate. Throughout the next couple of months I was in contact with Jerry often asking as many questions as I could and he would answer all of them without hesitation.

The week before we were about to open our affiliate our finances fell through and we were unable to continue on our affiliation and our gym. At the time the only thing I could think of doing was to call Jerry for advice and to see if I could work as a trainer for him. When I spoke with Jerry I didn't even have to ask to be a trainer for him because he offered it first which took a huge burden off of my shoulders. The very next day Jerry called me and told me that a lady had bought the gym that used to house Horned Toad CrossFit in Argyle and that he would give her my name and see if we could work together on starting CrossFit back up in her facility. I then had a meeting with Jerry and the new owner of Argyle Family Fitness and she was very grateful to have me come and take over the CrossFit part of her gym. We are now opening our doors as Argyle Family Fitness and CrossFit Argyle. I am extremely grateful for Jerry's gratitude and for him helping me to get back on my feet to run an affiliate. Without Jerry's help we would have never been able to do what we are doing in Argyle. Thanks again Jerry!
